About

I am currently in my third year studying 'Textile Design for Fashion and Interiors' at Bath Spa university. The areas that i have decided to spealise in during my time here are print/embroidery/fabric manipulation!

The work that i produce is usually based on the beauty of flowers. I get inspired by sourcing through my mother's boxes of beautiful fabrics. I have always been an avid collector of beautiful things, be it beads, lace, sea glass, tin foil, feathers, pressed flowers, the list goes on.

Im a great list writer, i have so many lists of future projects, placement oppurtunities, inspirational designers/artists, where i want to travel to next, sporting activities that i would like to pursue. I have to be well - organsied and this is probably why i'm constantly making notes!

In my spare time i love coming home to the sea. I find just walking along the beach and taking in the sea air such a calming experience and a chance to reflect and reminise on things. A chance to clear the mind and think about the next project! Being an art student i don't think your mind ever stops, its a constant flow of what should you do next!

Many other things that i enjoy are sitting around the kitchen table talking for hours with my closest friends over a yummy chocolate cake and putting the world to right, being with all my family when i come home from university and being apart of yet another creative household that never stops, but being distracted by our many animals at the same time. Playing Tennis was a great passion of mine, many years ago and i'm hoping to get back into it much more as i feel that it has been missing for a long time. Sport is such a great way to release the stress of everything, so i'm thinking it could be very worthwhile this final year at university!

I enjoy meandering around cities, visiting art galleries, designer boutiques and just being apart of a cosmopolitan buzz. Hopefully one day i will get the chance to experience living in London or some other major city! In the mean time i reside in the beautiful city of Bath. I have most certainly enjoyed my time in Bath, admiring the stunning architecture, walking around the cobbled streets, exploring the galleries ans many one - off boutiques, being apart of the cafe culture, enjoying the many different cocktail bars, but most importantly it's been a great chance to meet new people the past two years!

Travel - I have had the wonderful oppurtunity to travel before i started my art foundation and university. In many ways i was still so young, just 19 years of age! I travelled Thailand, Austrailia, New Zealand and Bali, Indonesisa. One day i hope to travel India and to return to Melbourne, Australia!

I hope that my blog will inspire people in many ways xxxx
